About the app
Enter a horse's name, or broader search criteria, and Race Finder returns eligible races across the British, Irish and international programmes, with race details and entry closing dates.
It is built for industry professionals who want fast, accurate results — trainer, owner, racing manager, agent or jockey. It is a supplementary tool built for speed and simplicity, always to hand on your phone, and it works offline once synced.
It covers every British and Irish fixture, Flat and jumps, as published in the racing calendars with amendments applied; official ratings; race conditions, prize money and the distance from your yard; GB banding, EBF, median auction and sales auction eligibility; rating ceilings, benchmark allowances and weight penalties; and selected races abroad with travel distance. Entry closing dates appear on every race, including early closers and second entry or supplementary stages still open.
Please check before you enter
Race Finder is a guide, not an authority. It is built carefully and in good faith, from published sources, and we correct what we find wrong — but eligibility and race conditions should always be confirmed against the official conditions before you enter a horse.
The conditions that count are those published by the BHA and Racing Admin in Britain, Horse Racing Ireland in Ireland, and the racecourse or governing body elsewhere. Ratings, closing dates and race conditions all change, and an entry made on the strength of what this app shows is made at your own risk.

Race Finder does not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and it has no account to sign in to.
What the app sends
When the app starts, it sends a randomly generated identifier to our server so we know the installation is authorised to receive data. That identifier is created on your device the first time the app runs. It is not derived from your phone, your phone number or anything about you, and it cannot be traced back to you. Reinstalling the app creates a new one.
Alongside it we record only the date the installation was first seen and the date it was last seen.
What the app receives
Everything else the app does is reading published racing information — fixtures, race conditions, closing dates, official ratings and public auction records. That data is the same for every user and is downloaded to your device, where searches run locally. Your searches are not sent anywhere and we cannot see them.
What we do not do
- No analytics or tracking software of any kind is built into the app.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- Nothing is shared with, or sold to, anybody.
- No location data is collected. If you enter a postcode to see how far a course is, it stays on your device.
Storage and retention
Racing data is cached on your device so the app works without a connection. The identifier described above is held on our server for as long as the installation is in use. Deleting the app removes everything held on your device; email us at the address above if you would like the server record removed as well.
Children
Race Finder is a tool for people involved in racing, professionally or as an enthusiast. It is not directed at children and collects nothing that could identify anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date above.
